The President of the Council of Ministers, Gustavo Adrianzensaid on Wednesday that the fugitive owner of Free Peru, Vladimir Cerronwill soon be captured and brought to justice. During a press conference, the chief of staff avoided answering whether Cuban intelligence would be protecting the former regional governor of Junín.

“I myself would be making a mistake if I implicated Cuban intelligence in these events. (…) What I can say is that, regardless of who is helping him, Cerrón will be captured and brought to justice as soon as possible,” he said.
As we recall, Cerrón Rojas has been a fugitive for 334 days, after the Judiciary confirmed the sentence of three years and six months in prison against him for the Wanka Aerodrome case.
“Petroperú will not be privatized”
Adrianzén also highlighted that the state oil company, Petroperuwill not be privatized, because it has coverage in Amazonian and high Andean areas. However, he acknowledged that the company requires “drastic and rapid” solutions.
“The president has categorically ruled out the privatization of Petroperú,” he said.
In this regard, the chief of staff indicated that the possibility of hiring a Project Management Office (PMO) is being evaluated. He also indicated that the possibility of maintaining the units of that institution “that are efficient and profitable” will be evaluated.
“Petroperú is going to reform its management system and the possibility of creating a PMO is being evaluated (…) to carry out the resurgence of Petroperú based on a new business vision,” he said.
