The most recent report from the National Institute of Health (INS) shows that in the first three days of December, 21 people have been burned with gunpowder in the country.
The state body’s report states that of that total, five are under 18 years of age. It is also indicated that six of these cases occurred under the influence of alcohol, by the victims.

The INS report also indicates that 61.9% of the cases occurred while people were handling this type of element, while 23% were observing such behavior when they were burned.
So far there are no people killed by the handling of gunpowder in this period.

For its part, the Attorney General’s Office made a call this Saturday to governors and mayors to create useful strategies in their territories that prevent the use and manipulation of gunpowder by children and adolescents.
