Madrid Spain.- On Friday night, the residents of the Güira de Melena municipality, in the province of Artemisa, took to the streets in protest after long hours without electricity.
In images shared by numerous users through social networks, Cubans are heard demanding the restoration of the electrical service to the rhythm of conga with saucepans; type of protest that is becoming more frequent throughout the island, due to the unsustainable energy and economic crisis.
“Blackout and Güira de Melena heated up,” he wrote in Twitter Albert Fonse, along with photos and videos showing a large crowd.
