Guilds and CSS returned to dialogue with a view to lifting the administrative strike

Judith Pena | December 21, 2022

Once again, the authorities and representatives of the administrative unions of the Social Security Fund (CSS), with the mediation of the Ombudsman’s Office, once again established a dialogue table this Wednesday, December 21, to continue with the conversations that allow the signing of an agreement to lift the strike, which some collaborators still maintain.

The general secretary of the CSS, Edwin Salamín, indicated that the most important thing about the meeting was the decision to allow them to revisit all the points that the talks are holding up.

“Because of our request to review again all the points that are the ones that have us in the impasse, which has not allowed the strike to be lifted and the signing of an agreement to terminate it, well, we are going to review it at the highest level and then return later,” he said.

He indicated that the Ombudsman’s Office, with that mediating quality that it has provided, has given space to both the lanCSS administration and the unions to continue talking and debating.
“I think that the most salvageable thing about this meeting today is that we have been able to reach that agreement that they give us the opportunity to continue reviewing and once we have a position, the closest thing to the definitive thing is to come back here to raise it,” narrowed.
