the congressman Guido Bellido (former Peru Libre) confirmed that he will meet with the High Level Group of the Organization of American States (OAS) who arrives this Sunday, November 20, in Peru, in order to dialogue with representatives of the country’s main institutions in the face of the political crisis.
Through his social networks, Bellido Ugarte, now not grouped, showed the letter that the OAS sent him and assured that he will attend the call because he considers it necessary “defend democracy and the rule of law”.
“I confirm my attendance at the meeting with GAN-OAS, it is important to defend democracy and the rule of law in our countryour participation will be based on the truth and objectivity of events in the country”, he wrote on his Twitter account.
OAS visit
All the members of the OAS mission will arrive this Sunday, November 20, in Peru, where they will assess the current situation in which the country finds itself, at the request of the Government of Pedro Castillo.
The visit follows the request of the Head of State to activate the Inter-American Democratic Charter, alleging that the constitutional complaint filed by the National Prosecutor’s Office against him represented a “threat to democracy”.
During his arrival in our country, this Sunday morning, The mission’s spokesperson, Eladio Loizaga, confirmed that he will meet with the National Prosecutor, Patricia Benavides, who is investigating Castillo Terrones and his entourage for alleged crimes of corruption.
