Guerrero is in eighth place nationally in economic activity

Guerrero registered a 2% growth in its economic activity during the second quarter of 2025, with figures adjusted for seasonality, placing it in eighth place nationally and on par with Mexico City, according to the Quarterly Indicator of State Economic Activity (ITAEE) of the INEGI.

The rebound reflects the effects of the economic policy promoted by Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda, focused on the reactivation of the productive sectors, the promotion of real estate investment and the strengthening of mining activity, with the support of the federal government headed by Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.

Despite the damage caused by hurricanes Otis and John, the state economy showed signs of recovery, while other entities in the country reported setbacks. Nayarit (-3.8%), Sinaloa (-2.8%) and Oaxaca (-2.3%) registered the largest falls in the period, which contrasts with the favorable behavior of Guerrero.

State authorities highlighted that this performance confirms that Guerrero is advancing with stability and growth, promoting local development and economic recovery for the benefit of its inhabitants.
