The Israeli embassy recently donated 100 food rations and 100 stoves to the Guayabo Dulce community, in the Bayaguana municipality.
The director of the Guayabo Dulce district board, Julio Martínez, received a visit from the Israeli consul, Aví Levi, who delivered the donations.
The mayor took advantage of the visit to inaugurate the main street of the district with the name of Jerusalemcapital of Israel.
In addition, by naming the street with the capital of Israel, during the distinguished visit, the consul was given an award as a symbol of his contributions and good practices in favor of the most humble communities.
Aví Levi said she was more than grateful for the distinction and pointed out that these donations are made on behalf of her country, which has always been willing to collaborate with the Dominican Republic and especially with the communities that need it most.
“It is a great pleasure for the nation of Israel that this District names its main street after our capital (Jerusalem),” he said.
The diplomat made a short tour of this community; likewise, she emphasized the actions of social responsibility carried out by her nation for the benefit of the Dominican people.
While the director Julio Martínez pointed out that this community of Los Hatillos is a community of believing people, with great fear of God, just as Israel is.
In this sense, before inaugurating the monument to the Bible and photographic stand, the flag of Israel was placed on site, this as a symbol of the City of God.
The ambassador in a meeting with the mayor talked about the work that the nation of Israel has done and about important issues in the region.
