MIAMI, United States. — Tatiana Matos Nápoles, mother of three minor children, denounced the lack of help from the government of Baracoa, Guantanamo provinceto alleviate the difficult situation in which he lives.
“I live in a temporary facility with a dirt floor and a cardboard ceiling. I don’t even have water to cook. I have to ask the neighbors for water,” the mother told CubaNet.
The children of Naples are eight, four and three years old. The oldest of them has an umbilical hernia.
“I have tried to treat him in the hospital. I have gone and every time I go there are no medicines, or there are no gloves or there is no scalpel, “said the mother.
Tatiana Matos has tried on several occasions to approach the authorities of the municipal hospital of Baracoa, but she has not received any answers either.
“They have never done anything to me to calm the pain they give him, because there are never any medications. I have always had to buy medicines on the street and medicines on the street are unbearably expensive”, lamented the woman.
The authorities have also done nothing to offer her a home where she can raise her children with minimal conditions.
“They never give me an answer. It is always a constant rally. I’m sick of this situation.”
According to Tatiana, the only thing she has received has been a job offer that she could not access because she did not have the conditions to raise her children.
