Juan Guaidó, former president of the interim government, asked Donald Trump, president-elect of the United States, to declare the Aragua Train a terrorist organization.
“The designation of the Aragua Train as a terrorist organization allied with the Nicolás Maduro regime is crucial,” said Guaidó, according to a press release, this Thursday, November 7.
He also highlighted the need to combat the Aragua Train to restore the rule of law in Venezuela. In this sense, Guaidó indicated that the impact of this criminal structure transcends the country’s borders and affects the entire region, leaving a bad name for millions of honest Venezuelans.

Furthermore, the opponent, exiled in the US, congratulated the American people for deciding on their future. He highlighted Donald Trump’s tenacity, “for always complying with Venezuela and the region.”
He asserted that they work “with the senate teams to continue the pressure from the United States.”
“The support for Venezuela in 2019 did not fall from the sky, it was worked. We continue working. “The realistic options are still there to change the immediate future in Venezuela,” said Guaidó.
He urged the US to protect political figures, including María Corina Machado, and more than 2,000 political prisoners.
