Guabirá became strong at home and beat Tomayapo 2-1

Guabirá did respect the house and managed to keep the three points in his ‘cauldron’. Luis Leal scored the two goals for the red, Mauricio Chajtur discounted for the tarijeñosin a game that had all the emotions in the first half.

The scoreboard opened at minute 23 with a goal from Luis Leal. The sugar attacker ran into the empty space and connected a good cross from Layonel Figueroa inside the small area. 1-0 for Mauricio Soria’s men who started the match in a great way.

In the 36th minute a peculiar situation arose, where Chajtur was seen falling in the Guabirá area. There was a complete feeling that he had been brought down with an infringement. The judge did not charge, and immediately the counterattack of the premises was born, where Luis Leal was knocked down in the rival area, also with sensations of foul. Two possible penalties in the same play, one for each team.

The VAR intervened and invited the referee to review the play. After two minutes of analysis, the first penalty was charged in favor of Tomayapo. David Robles committed the infraction and was reprimanded for it.

The second possible penalty was no longer reviewed, because that attack was born from Robles’ infraction to Chajtur. The striker finished off Cuellar’s right post and made it 1-1 in 41 minutes of the first half.

Unusually, there was another penalty at 42′. Leal wanted to lower an aerial ball and was knocked down inside the fateful zone. The judge sanctioned the infraction, but the VAR suggested an analysis again, to later ratify the decision. The technology removed a penalty, but gave another to Montero’s red.

Leal was the executor, and changed penalty for goal. Guabirá regained the lead in a first half full of emotions. This is how the teams went to rest, with three goals, claims, emotions and tension.

The match closed in the second half with a Tomayapo who could not beat Guabirá. The visit could never make a foothold in the second half, and was left with the defeat in Montero.

The red, meanwhile, did not step on the accelerator again either and let the minutes run out to keep the three units in the Gilberto Parada.
