Yesterday, the Rica Group inaugurated the expansion of the process plant and new logistics warehouses, with an investment that exceeds RD$2,000 million.
The event was attended by President Luis Abinader, four ministers and representatives of the country’s main business associations, including the National Council of Private Enterprise (Conep) and the Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic (AIIRD).
The president of the Rica Group, Pedro Brachestated that the investment in cutting-edge technology, both in our processing plant and in the new logistics warehouse, marks a before and after in our production and distribution capacity.
He maintained that the investment will allow exports to double in the next four years and will generate 273 jobs in the first years.
The ship is 120 meters long by 35 meters wide, with a height of 21 meters, and can store up to 20 million units.
The investment has allowed us to achieve a 35% increase in the warehouse’s logistical capacity, he said.
During the event, two videos were shown, one about Grupo Rica and another about the process plant.
The process plant is equipped with cutting-edge technology, while the logistics warehouse is state-of-the-art.
Announced the construction of a new Grupo Rica distribution center in Santo Domingo, whose investment will exceed the RD$4,000 million in the next three years. The Minister of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs, Ito Bisonó, said that new infrastructure will contribute to increasing productivity.
