With the presence of President Luis Abinader, the Olé group formally opened its new distribution center yesterday, which has a total construction area of 26,000 square meters with an investment of 680 million pesos.
This distribution center has 58 loading and unloading docks with the capacity to mobilize 80 trucks per day, in addition to having the highest technology for the classification process, statistical control and the dispatch of merchandise, to achieve greater efficiency and organization and thus guaranteeing timely supply and quality in each of the branches that belong to the Olé group.
During the event, Javier Rodríguez, president of the Olé Group, explained that this opening of the “Edelmiro Rodríguez Martínez” distribution center, positions the Olé group and its companies, Hipermercados Olé and Mercadal, at another level, in terms of technology, growth and continuous contribution to the country’s economy.
In his speech, he argued that this center provides more than 180 new jobs, which represents a direct and indirect impact to more than 500 people within the community.
The inauguration of the center, located in Boca Chica, Santo Domingo Este, was carried out with the blessing by the priest José Ramón and the traditional ribbon cutting by the directors of the Olé group and President Abinader. After this, everyone took a tour of the place.
Hipermercados Olé is a center founded on August 11, 1995. It has several areas among which are: Supermarket, Bakery, Pastry, Ladies, Men and Children, Home, Plastics, Appliances, Hardware and Cafeteria. It has 13 branches throughout the Dominican Republic, divided as follows: 8 Hypermarkets and 5 Supermarkets.
