The mining giant Grupo México, one of the world’s largest copper producers, said on Tuesday that it plans to increase its investments by 67% this year, seeking to promote different projects.
Mexico Group, also with businesses in the transport and infrastructure sectors, expects to disburse 2,274 million dollars in 2022, above the 1,362 million dollars it allocated to capital investments last year, according to its fourth quarter results report.
In its report, the company said that its profits decreased by 28% year-on-year between October and December, to 901 million dollars, while its revenues totaled 3,776 million dollars, 17.4% more than those registered in the same period of 2020.
Their Actions closed on Tuesday at 89.83 pesos in the stock market local, with an advance of 1.40 percent.
