The Rail Transport Regulatory Agency (ARTF) on Monday, two international public tender contracts to build and design sections of the federal passenger trains reactivation project that total 32,873.6 million pesos
The first went to a consortium led by Mota Engil Mexico for an amount of 20,203.9 million pesos (which involves 70.7 km of the route Querétaro-IrapuatoApaseo el Grande segment, industrial-herpuate zone) and the second to the group headed by Gami Engineering and facilities for 12,669.7 million pesos (includes 136.4 km from the Saltillo-New Laredo route, Arroyo El Sauz-Nuevo Laredo segment).
In accordance with the record records, the agency granted competitions to the construction companies for having presented solvent propositions that met “with the legal, technical and economic requirements requested by the convening and having reached the highest score of the sum of the items and sub -areas evaluated, of the eligible proposals, in accordance with the award criteria provided in the call”.
In both cases the contracts must be signed on April 10 and the works must begin in the next six days (with an execution period of 807 and 960 calendar days), for which they will receive a 20% advance according to the budget calendar of the current year.
The companies that won the bidding processes also participated in the construction of the Mayan train during the previous federal administration.
