The federal government created a working group to monitor federal actions in areas affected by tornadoes in Paraná. The group will coordinate and integrate actions between federal and local bodies and entities to deal with the situation caused by winds of up to 250km/h that reached locations such as Rio Bonito do Iguaçu.
The creation of the GT is foreseen in Ordinance 123/2025published in the Official Gazette of the Union this Friday (5). The initial forecast is that the group’s activities will last 90 days, with the possibility of extension if necessary.
According to the Communication Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic (Secom), the GT will be made up of representatives from the Civil House, the Ministry of Integration and Regional Development and the Institutional Relations Secretariat, responsible for coordinating the work.
It will be up to the members of the GT to promote political-institutional coordination between the federal and state governments and the affected municipalities.
“We will promote the alignment of federal government actions locally and mediate and resolve any institutional differences or bureaucratic impasses,” informed Secom.
