From the early hours of this Monday, various groups of fishermen went out to protest in various parts of the country.

The demonstrations took place at the height of the Seafood Market, on the coastal strip, while in Herrera, Colcé and Veraguas there were also demonstrations.

The fishermen demand concrete answers from the Government in the face of the increase in fuel prices. They allege that only public transport drivers have received support or subsidies from government authorities.

In Coclé, the mayor of Antón, Eric Domínguez, went to the scene to help the fishermen, telling them that “I have lived among you for the last 30 years and I know how difficult the situation is.”
