MADRID, Spain.- This Saturday, May 27, the promo for the documentary series will be presented in Miami screams of freedomdirected by audiovisual communicator Carlos Gavilondo and produced by Unimedia Group.
The screening will take place at the “Casa del Preso”, headquarters of the Cuban Historical Political Prison Organization, located on 13th avenue in Little Havana.
As announced from their social networks by the Cuban activist Jorge Luis Pérez García, better known as “Antunez”, and his own hawkthe documentary “is a tribute to those inside and outside of Cuba who have fought and are still fighting for the reconquest of our full freedom.”
As seen in the promotional images, the documentary series screams of freedom remembers several dissidents persecuted or assassinated by the Castro regime, among them the student leader Pedro Luis Boitel; Ricardo Bofil, pioneer of the fight for Human Rights in Cuba; Osvaldo Ramírez, who took up arms against Fidel Castro; and Ernesto Díaz Madruga, the first martyr to forced labor imposed on political prisoners on the Isla de la Juventud, then the Isle of Pines.
The founder of the Damas de Blanco group, Laura Pollan; the opponent and martyr Vincent Mendez; Oswaldo Paya, promoter of the Varela Project; and the political prisoner Orlando Zapata, who died after an 86-day hunger strike in protest against the appalling prison conditions.
