Grenade explosion affects the headquarters of the Judiciary in Independencia

Explosión de granada en Independencia afecta sede del Poder Judicial

Early Saturday morning, a grenade explosion in the Multicenter shopping center, located at Av. Carlos Izaguirre 275, in the district of Independencegenerated material damage in the establishment and in a premises of the Judiciary nearby, belonging to the Court of Lima Norte.

As a result of the detonation, the shock waves destroyed the windows of the labor courts of the Lima Norte Court, which are located a few meters from the epicenter of the incident. Security personnel from the Superior Court of Lima Norte immediately moved to the scene and confirmed the material damage to the judicial headquarters.

Besides, Protective measures were taken to safeguard the files stored in the affected premises, guaranteeing its integrity despite the effects of the explosion.

The Judiciary issued a statement condemning these criminal acts, emphasizing that they represent an obstacle to providing an adequate justice service to the population of Lima Norte.
