The duel started in the best way for Grêmio and coach Roger Machado, who replaced the fired Vagner Mancini. With only nine minutes left, Diego Souza has already opened the scoring. And he did it in style: he received it at the entrance of the area and with a subtle touch covered goalkeeper Renan Rocha to score a beautiful goal.
Still in the first half, Rildo extended the Tricolor count and also of beautiful goals. At 36, he advanced on the left, passed between two markers and played with class in the exit of the opposing goalkeeper.
In the second stage, the team did not take its foot off the accelerator. At 17, came the third. In an accurate counterattack, Nicolas received a completely free kick on the right and had time to straighten his body and hit his left leg in the right corner of the goal to widen.
Fifteen minutes later came the final blow. Janderson was fouled inside the area. Penalty that he himself took to make Grêmio’s fourth.
The victory with authority provides greater confidence for Grêmio, which faces Gre-Nal, in Beira-Rio, next Saturday (26th). It will be the first gaucho classic of the 2022 season.
