Yesterday they commemorated the sixth year of the March for the End of Impunity or better known as the “Green March”, this act that brings together millions of people was carried out, but without such massive participation.
The march was called by a group of civil society organizations demanding that all those involved in corruption scandals be brought to justice. Mainly in the Odebrecht case that involved the Brazilian transnational Odebrecht in the payment of bribes to officials of three Dominican governments (2001-2014).
The social movement that many considered at the time the most important so far this century, today has shaken the social network of Twitter, because many are those who have used this means of communication to express their discontent against the former leaders of this move.
Such is the case of the journalist Fernando Peña, who said “Green March the hoax of the century, managers ended up as officials of the government of change, with contracts and juicy profits.”

Likewise, Gaby Sánchez, @GabySanchezRD He expressed “The green march and the protest in the Plaza de la Bandera will be remembered as the biggest farce of this century.”
Another citizen who joined the comments is Roberto Rosario Marquewho explained that, «The green march, a social and political phenomenon of great impact, it is time to assess whether 6 years later it met its objectives. Its protagonists are part of the current administration, with power and influence to achieve their purposes.

But regardless of these comments, there are many who say they feel proud to be part of this movement, which is precisely what Martin R. Concepción stated.

During the march, the former member of the national leadership of the collective, Jonathan Liriano gave some previews of his book “Green March: Notes for history”.
In the same Liriano explains that, at the height of the citizen mobilizations against impunity in the Odebrecht case, intelligence agencies of the government of Danilo Medina set up surveillance at the residences of leaders of the Green March movement.
The publication of “Green March: Notes for history”it will be this Monday the 23rd, the book will be in physical and digital format.
