Through her social networks, the artist expressed her unconditional support and assured that she had a clear conscience because she knows the values with which she was raised.

What happened to Greeicy Rendón’s father
The father of the renowned singer and actress Greeicy Rendón, Luis Alberto Rendón Melo, was captured and charged by the Attorney General’s Office for the crimes of simple kidnapping and torture. The events would have occurred on May 8, 2023 on a farm in the municipality of Rionegro, Antioquia, where, according to investigations, two workers were detained and violently attacked after being accused of having stolen a safe with money and jewelry.
According to the prosecutor’s report, the employees were beaten, threatened with firearms and subjected to physical torture, including attempted suffocation and injuries with blunt objects. The stories of the victims and the evidence collected by the investigators served as the basis for a guarantee control judge to legalize the capture and accusation against the artist’s father.
During the hearing, Luis Alberto Rendón did not accept the charges. For reasons of age and health, the judge decided to grant him a home security measure, instead of preventive detention. The Prosecutor’s Office continues to compile evidence and testimonies that will clarify the details of the violent episode that today has it at the center of the controversy.
