Cuba’s tourist offer aroused great interest in the Wedding Fair that concluded today in the Scottish city of Glasgow, despite the damage caused by winter storm Eunice.
In statements by telephone to Prensa Latina, Daniesky Acosta assured that people also approached the Cuban stand attracted by the culture and idiosyncrasies of the Caribbean country.
Acosta, director of Cubans in the UK and who was in charge of the Cuban pavilion because the representatives of the Tourism Bureau attached to the Cuban embassy in London could not travel to Glasgow due to the meteorological phenomenon, asserted that the tourist product had a great reception among the specialists and the public.
The Scottish Wedding Fair held over the weekend brought together more than 200 promoters and travel agents from across the UK, after a two-year suspension due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The event, which included fashion shows and offers for the honeymoon of the newlyweds, also coincided with the 20th anniversary of the twinning of the cities of Glasgow and Havana, a date that, according to Acosta, was also highlighted during the two days of the exhibition.
