A large fire was recorded on Tuesday afternoon at the Venezuelan chemical processing company (PROPOSQUIM), located in the Parapal area, Los Guayos municipality of the Carabobo state.
The event that was recorded at 2:00 pm and that extended for more than two hours, generated a thick column of smoke that was visualized in at least three municipalities in Carabobo (San Diego, Valencia and San Joaquín).
The place was attended by Carabobo Firefighters, Firefighters of Valencia, Firefighters of the Guayos, Firefighters of San Joaquín, Firefighters of San Diego and different security and rescue bodies of the State.
During the fire extinguishing tasks, he was injured with second degree burns, an official of the Integrated Civil Protection and Firefighters System and Firefighters of Carabobo, in addition to two workers of the company.
At 6:00 pm, the causes that originated the fire and the removal work of flammable materials are maintained to prevent the fire from restarting, with the purpose of proceeding to the cooling work of the affected area.
