The arrival of the new Chevrolet Montana in Uruguay, which continues its pre-sale process throughout the country, positions the model in the compact pick-up segment. It presents great equipment, security and technology, highlighting the incorporation of OnStar and an application to control key functions of the car from a distance.
For Claudio D’Agostini, general manager of General Motors Uruguay, the arrival of the brand’s new compact pick-up “has given rise to talk beforehand” about pre-sale, which for the firm is “very exciting.” “Listen to our customers’ queries and their interest in this new product that has revolutionized the market in the region is incredible,” he said.
So far, more than 1,200 units have been pre-sold at all dealers in the national territory of the new Chevrolet Montana. “We are sure that, in the first half of the year, we will already have the first units forming part of the landscape throughout the country,” said D’Agostini.
According to the general manager of General Motors Uruguay, this vehicle adds novelties that make it a “unique in its category” pick-up: it has a renewed design that gives it a more modern and sophisticated appearance; It is equipped with a 1.2L Turbo engine with up to 130 horsepower and 210 Nm of torque. It is a more efficient and economical engine than its competitors, which translates into lower fuel consumption and greater autonomy.
Montana also stands out for its design, safety, interior space, connectivity and performance. Measuring 4.72 meters long and around 1.8 meters wide, it offers more space for second-row occupants compared to other vehicles in its segment, without compromising on space and comfort for the driver.
In addition, it has a Multi-Flex cargo box, which is a “very important differential” of the product, being designed to function as a giant trunk with a cargo capacity of 874 liters, which has an advanced waterproofing system for the cover. from the box; this is transformed into greater protection for the belongings that are sheltered in case of rain; The box also has a large line of custom accessories that allow you to transport various objects.

The OnStar system is installed in the latest generation vehicles from Onix, Cruze, Tracker, Equinox, S10, Silverado and in this new Montana. It consists of three buttons located under the mirror that give access to different services that include automatic response in the event of a collision; route assistance; vehicle recovery in case of robbery or theft; 24/7 SOS button and “good samaritan” option, which allows the user to press a red emergency button if they witness an accident or a suspicious driver.
