Great Christmas fair

Great Christmas fair

It will be on Tuesday the 23rd all day with the traditional fair and at 8 p.m. musical show

With great expectation, hundreds of small entrepreneurs from the most varied fields await the Christmas Fair, one of the most important of the year in terms of public attendance and also in terms of sales levels.

The Cerro Largo Government Fair Area is providing strong support to the activity, collaborating not only in the organization of an artistic show for the night, but also to ensure that the environment is ideal.

“This is a very big move, a move on which a lot of work is being done because it is an activity that promises a lot. It is something that the fairgrounders look forward to all year long.” express Lucas Fernandez.

This great party will be financed in part with the money that the entrepreneurs themselves have contributed throughout the year. “With the $60,000 that they have in cash today plus what the Municipality is going to contribute, which is approximately 130 thousand pesos, we will be able to do that show with Gonzalo Leivas, with Fabricio Capó from Artigas, with Kumbia Base from Melo and the closing with Néstor Balsi” detailed the Fair Manager.

“Next Tuesday the activity begins at 8 in the morning. We will start with the traditional fair, then at 8 p.m. we will be starting with the musical show. For the little ones, we will have a Santa Claus who will be with us for 2 hours delivering gifts and bringing a smile to all the children who attend” advancement.

This artistic-musical show seeks to increase attendance at Plaza Constitución so that the stallholders, who work from early Sunday to Sunday, have greater possibilities of sales in the run-up to the celebration of Christmas Eve and Christmas.

Fernández believes that there should be no competition between those who have their stalls in the plaza and the Open Sky Shopping organized by the Cerro Largo Commercial and Industrial Center and held on Aparicio Saravia Street on the night of December 23. “I think that the work we are doing made them change the concept of the fairgrounds a little, they changed the concept towards what they previously thought. We want things to go well for all of us. That implies that they do their activity in Saravia and we will do the impossible so that no stall is installed on the street.” he committed.

“May this union last because the sun rises for everyone: we want them to do very well that day and so do the fairgoers” he summarized.

“We have been working on every detail, with Melo Animaciones on what Santa Claus is, with the musical show, with the amplification, with the Municipal Police to give us support” said the Fair Manager. “For the first time in a Special Fair, in a Christmas fair, both the fairgrounders and the general public will have appropriate bathrooms, something they did not have before. A chemical bathroom at night is complicated because it lacks light, today they have a bathroom as it should be. That will give it that touch that the population so needed” stood out.

“All this would not be possible without the support of the Municipality, which is going to spend a very large amount of money, which will be added to the money raised by the stallholders themselves who manage it for them. The most important thing is that the stallholders are there at maximum hours to accompany us until the closing.” Lucas Fernández ended by saying.
