Great Alliance for Panama does not feel represented at the Dialogue Table in Cocle


National Alliance for Panama is made up of cooperatives of farmers, ranchers, fishermen, distributors, industrialists, financiers, parents, pharmacies, tourist companies, civic clubs and others.

This morning, mñasz of 150 associations at the national level announced the creation of the Great National Alliance for Panama and assured that this new group arises due to the events that have been registered in the country and that are being debated in a National Dialogue Table that does not represent to all sectors.
Poultry farmer Carlos Castroverde assured that the Alliance seeks to recover trust, peace, personal security, respect for private property and State assets in the country and emphasized that the method used in the dialogue table in the province of Coclé, does not represents the majority, so they propose to effectively integrate all sectors in all regions” of the country.
“We have been since the beginning of this situation aspiring to be able to participate, to give our contribution, to be taken into account, since we are the producers who generate employment, who bring food to the communities, who make investments and we pay taxes and therefore we have the right to be able to participate in any decision that eventually has to do with our activity” he said, noting that from the beginning they questioned a table that for them did not have the representation of the sectors that are part of society Panamanian.

Alicia Jiménez, president of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of the Republic of Panama, took advantage of the launch of this Alliance to urge the Government and other sectors to establish a “large national, inclusive and participatory table.” In addition, she emphasized that the Great National Alliance for Panama rejects any pressure action that affects free transit.
