Grace Hernández: “Public policies are not to give us quality of life, they have forgotten about us, everything is business”

Angel Valdes | June 21, 2023

The pre-candidate for deputy for the 8-4 circuit for the Otro Camino Movement, Grace Hernández was on Radio Panama where she detailed her plans for her circuit to reach the National Assembly.
For Grace, who went viral on social media with a video comparing costs for hams and decentralization in an economic way vs the budget of the Cancer Hospital, the only way to improve the situation is to enter the system so that from within help improve the level of life of Panamanians.
“I am concerned about what Panama is experiencing and go from complaint to action and we must raise awareness, get people to participate, let’s get out of our comfortable zone and start taking command of their country, because citizens are the owners of this country, that is part of why I am doing this,” Hernández stressed.
Regarding the video he made on the topic of budget reduction for the Hospital del Oncológico, Hernández said that “All decisions and everything that is done has to be to improve the quality of life of the citizen, but here we see that the decisions that they take have nothing to do with our quality of life, we have a city where the population is sick, because they have not helped us so that public policies push us towards a good lifestyle, they have forgotten about us, everything It is business, as in a budget committee they sit down and take away the Oncology budget where the rate of this disease in our country is high.
