“We have a president, a statesman who broke with the old regime and every day consolidates a new economic, social, and ethical model that represents us in the country, on the continent, and in the entire world,” says the statement.
After criticism of President López Obrador for issues such as the electrical reform, the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, the proposal to take a “pause” in relations between Mexico and Spain, and the controversy over displaying the alleged income of journalist Carlos Loret de Mola, the 18 rulers assured that since December 1, 2018, a transformation began in the public life of the country.
In his opinion, this transformation ended the privileges of powerful and economic groups and with it began a direct fight against corruption, which caused resistance from those who were affected.
“We know that the attacks have their origin in economic groups that lost privileges and that oppose an electrical reform that benefits the nation and the people of Mexico. They are wrong, the people do not want the old regime to return, they proudly defend this transformation that has no going back,” says the message.
