The governor of Valle del Cauca, Dilian Francisca Toro, called on the Government to advance in the delivery of land to the farmers of the departmentwho have demonstrated in recent days with blockades and sit-ins, such as those that occurred in the municipalities of Zarzal and Yotoco.
According to the official, It is pertinent that the Executive can address the claims made by dozens of victims of the armed conflict, especially by the peasants who for several years have found themselves waiting for the allocation of land and So far they have not received any response.

“It is necessary that the claims and needs of the peasants and victims of Valle del Cauca are heard by the Government: It is not possible that the lands that they have requested for years to work and produce continue without being assigned to them“, Toro stated on his X account.
According to the governor of Valle, the repeated non-compliance have caused discontent and mobilizations carried out in parts of the department such as Zarzal and Mediacanoa in the municipality of Yotocoin this last town where a blockade of the road that connects with the municipality of Buenaventura was recorded.
