Rosa Vásquez helped her son’s godfather with contracts
Rosa Vásquez, current regional governor of Lima, would have directly favored her spiritual compadre, César Oliva, with public contracts that exceed S/340,000, according to a complaint filed by the Front of Corruption Fight (Fredelco). The company of Oliva, Cesaliv General Servicios EIRL, was constituted just two months after Vásquez assumed the position, in March 2023, and despite lacking adequate infrastructure and having a cevichería as a fiscal domicile, it was selected as a provider for a wide range of services within the regional government of Lima.
The contracts granted to CESALIV include from the delivery of institutional breakfast for amounts of S/6,000, Coffee Break services for S/3,500, to more specialized acquisitions as chairs for S/39,940, maintenance of electrogens by S/11.245, installation of elevators for S/10,000 and placement of paved floors by S/28.814.
He was even awarded a service for S/74,000 for the replacement of an external structure at the regional headquarters, which would not have been executed as hired. All this happened despite the fact that the company of Oliva, according to verifications in Sunat, did not offer technical services or civil works, and its premises corresponded to a modest fish and seafood restaurant in Huacho. The closeness between Vásquez and Oliva, accredited by his role as godparents of the same minor, raises serious indications of collusion, influence peddling and improper use of public resources.
