The regional governor of Arequipa, Rohel Sánchez, decided to open an account in Kick, live broadcast platform, in an attempt to expand his digital presence. However, the strategy did not generate enthusiasm, but criticism by the counselor César Huamantuma who assured that he will notice that public resources are not used for the content in said social network.
From Sánchez’s Facebook page, the news was made public with a header that says: “Rohel is already in Kick. Connect, enjoy exclusive content and share to grow this community”. In addition, a photo of the governor and the username was attached on the green platform.
CONTROL
This decision was questioned by Huamantuma who pointed out that the workers of the institutional image office would also be managing transmissions in personal pages of the governor, using the resources and logistics of public goods. He also criticized his action by qualifying the electoral authority as disobedience.
“The governor is not giving the example about what the National Jury of Elections has arranged, that every state propaganda is prohibited in this period. Far from correcting, he has propaganda again. An entity like the regional government does not have to be in networks without institutional utility. We will control it”he said.
