Governor Lizeta urges Deltans not to join in acts of violence

The governor of Delta Amacuro, Lizeta Hernández, urged this Monday the people of Delta not to join any act of violence that puts the life, integrity or property of other people at risk, for which she recalled the existence of legal procedures by the Public Ministry and the Criminal Judicial Circuit in the entity.

Hernández said that as regional leader she will not allow violent events to occur that disturb the peace in this region. In this regard, she called on parents and guardians to be attentive to their children to avoid, on the one hand, any type of attacks and, on the other, calls for consideration in which they would have liked the mediation of the governor.

“Please don’t call me to mediate, each power is independent, that’s why I call on parents and representatives to keep an eye on their child.”

Confessions of a detainee

The Governor of Delta Amacuro reported that a young man was arrested in the post-election context with Molotov cocktails and confessed to having used Artificial Intelligence to spread WhatsApp audios posing as a PSUV leader to generate more anxiety in the streets.

“Those bombs were not just for fun, they were meant to generate violence in the streets of Tucupita,” said the governor.
