Governor Garrido denounced the seizure of 11 companies by the Chavista regime

At the press conference, Governor Garrido was accompanied by the Secretary General, Julio César Reyes; the attorney general of the state, Fernando Monsalve, and the accountant María Méndez, who agreed to announce that the report will be sent to the Comptroller General of the state

The governor of the state of Barinas, Sergio Garrido, denounced this Thursday the seizure of 11 companies belonging to the administration of the entity by the Nicolás Maduro regime, to which he added that the transfers were carried out “without the approval of the regional legislature.”

Garrido specified that the transfers of the companies were made on December 30, 2021, even when the Barinas state government was in dispute and awaiting a new electoral process. “These transfers caused damage to the public assets of the state,” he said.

The president made the announcement at a press conference, on the occasion of presenting the observations of the audit made to the management report that the former governor in charge Jesús Monsalve presented upon his departure.

Monsalve assumed command after Argenis Chávez, older brother of the late President Hugo Chávez, resigned from the Governorate of Barinas, following the order of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) to repeat the elections in that entity, where the opposition claimed victory. .

Among the presumed companies seized by the national Executive, Garrido mentioned Distributor Socialist of Barinas (Dibasa); Socialist Complex for the Development of the Industrial Zones of the State of Barinas (Cosdzieba SA) Bus Barinas, SA; Socialist Agricultural Corporation of the State of Barinas Hugo Chávez, SA and the Barinesa Socialist Company for Solid Waste, SA (Esobades).

According to Governor Garrido, the Socialist Infrastructure Corporation of Barines, SA (Corsobain); the La Soberana Automotive Concessionaire Corporation, SA; the Lubricants Distribution Center Company La Soberana, SA; the Fuel Administrator E/S La Soberana, SA; Mi Linda Barinas Foundation and the Ezequiel Zamora Farm, SA

Regarding the legal actions to be carried out on this fact, the governor of Barinas affirmed that with great responsibility, and with the evidence in hand, “we are going to go before the General Comptroller of the State, which is the fiscal control body indicated by the norm.” . He did not rule out actions before the Comptroller General of the Republic and the Public Ministry, he reviewed the whistle.

“With this outburst, far from harming my management, the administration of Nicolás Maduro is harming the Barineses,” he assured. Garrido made reference to the particular case of Corsobain, a company in which the government controls 51% of the shares.

He explained that this company, now in the hands of the national government, is not fulfilling its function of repairing roads, despite having machinery and an asphalt processing plant. “So abandoned is Corsobain that the workers are owed their sacred wages,” he said.

At the press conference, Governor Garrido was accompanied by the Secretary General, Julio César Reyes; the attorney general of the state, Fernando Monsalve and the accountant María Méndez, who agreed to announce that the report will be sent to the Comptroller General of the state.
