The president touched on the issue in his morning press conference, dedicated as every Tuesday to public health issues, mainly the Covid-19 pandemic and the vaccination program, with Secretary Jorge Alcocer and Undersecretary Hugo López-Gatell .
Regarding the energy sector, he revealed that in the meeting with the Mexican Business Council last Thursday he said so and set the example that it was not possible or fair for entrepreneurs to pay less for electricity and everyone had to help.
He informed that they have already authorized the budget for next year and we do not have any shortage.
All the projects have sufficient funds and, in the event that any federal government agency is missing, especially those that have to do with priority projects, transfers are made and supported.
For their part, Alcocer and López-Gatell updated on the situation of the pandemic and indicated that it is in a phase of stability with a reduction in its incidence of 6.0 percent.
In addition, they denied that there is a general upward trend, although they admitted that there is in some northern states close to the United States.
They also specified that the school year is going well without worrying incidents due to Covid-19 with respect to face-to-face classes that are already widespread throughout the country, and that eliminates the social tension that existed in the first days.
They explained that there is a great pace in the application of vaccines with high efficiency and there are drugs for all older adults, who are receiving the booster dose.
