The Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining, Omar Paganini, confirmed on Monday that the government resolved not to raise the price of fuel in December.
In a press conference, the Secretary of State said that “As can be seen, the report from Ursea (Regulatory Unit for Energy and Water Services) indicates that the Import Parity Price (PPI) to the supplier is still slightly above the price to the public that we have in force”.
As a consequence of the above, the National Executive decided to maintain the prices for the last month of the year. Likewise, he pointed out that “it is important to take into account that the import parity price rose during these past months and the government set the equal price below that level on the understanding that ancap could solve the problem financially without too much risk.”
The minister indicated that the main facts that influenced this decision is the price of the dollar and oil, as well as production costs. As he explained, at current levels “it gives reasonable results”, which allows the price to be maintained.
After this resolution, the value of Super 95 gasoline remains at $74.88, for Diesel 50-S it remains at $64.99. Likewise, Premium gasoline continues with a cost to the public of $77.09, and in the case of Diesel 10-S the value is $75.30.
