During a meeting organized by the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Hato Mayor, Ricardo Barceló, which brought together small businessmen and producers, the minister specified that by mandate of President Luis Abinader, both sectors will receive the necessary support for their speedy recovery. .
“The Agricultural Bank is going to be injected with resources, in such a way that it can come to the aid, in the form of zero-rate financing, from the main producers; while, through Promipyme, small and medium-sized companies will be helped, ”he said.
He highlighted the work carried out by the Minister of Agriculture, Limber Cruz, as well as the administrator of the Agricultural Bank, Fernando Durán, in the recovery of agricultural producers affected by the natural phenomenon.
Santos Echavarría explained that in order to advance with the help to the producers, it is necessary to conclude the survey of the damages to the production.
He also said that the collaboration between the Ministry of Agriculture and the private sector institutions that are carrying out these surveys is extremely important.
