Maria Jose Miranda, director of the Departmental Service for Social Policies (Sedepos), said this Friday that the ‘Garden House’ nursery is not accredited by the departmental governmentand therefore do not have jurisdiction over the establishment.

The Ombudsman for Children and Adolescents expanded the complaint against the ‘aunts’ for the alleged crimes of serious and very serious injuriesafter the damage against four children for psychological violence was confirmed.
The officials applied “a method of punishment” so that the children would ‘obey’ them, which consisted of tying them with adhesive tape around their bodies and mouths, and leaving them sitting on a chair.
The expanded complaint was submitted to the Public Ministry, where those responsible for the Ombudsman hope that the ‘aunts’ are summoned to testify and thus arrive at the truth of the events, which occurred between December 9 and 22, although some parents pointed out that they occurred throughout 2022.
The children’s establishment is sealed and the surveillance cameras, documentation and CPU, among other objects, are already in the hands of the Police and the Public Ministry.
