National District – The President Louis Abinader spearheaded the initiation of the plan for the construction and rehabilitation of sidewalkscontainments, speed bumps and scuppers that will be carried out throughout the national territory and that will be carried out by the Ministry of Public Works, the Dominican Municipal League and the Mayor’s Office of the National District.
Districts 1, 2 and 3 of the National District will be the first to be intervened, with an investment of 468 million pesos.
This includes the repair of sidewalks and containers that require it and the paving of the main streets and avenues.
The sectors and neighborhoods to intervene will be Los Girasoles, Los Ríos, Olympic Stadium, University City, Abraham Lincoln and Winston Churchill avenues; the Espaillat expansion, Social Improvement, San Carlos, El Millón, San Miguel, Mirador Sur, Palma Real, Las Palmas and the Alfimar and El Cacique urbanizations.
The Minister of Public Works, Deligne Ascensión; the Industry, Commerce and Mipymes, Víctor Bisonó; Mayor Carolina Mejía; the general secretary of the Dominican Municipal League, Víctor D’Aza; the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Alfredo Pacheco; Senator Faride Raful; the director of Customs, Eduardo Sanz Lovatón; from ADESS, Digna Reynoso; the deputies José Miguel Cabrera, Sergio Moya and Ramón Bueno.
Also, the deputy mayor Stalin Alcántara; the Vice Minister of Social Management, Juan Garrigó, and the MIVED, Ernesto Mejía; the president of CODIA, Cristian Rojas, and of the Presidential Commission for Neighborhood Development Support, Rolfi Rojas, along with councilors and other personalities.
