In order to establish coordination on the humanitarian aid that the Mexican government will send to Cuba, contacts will be initiated with the embassy of that country in Mexico so that they can suggest what type of support they would require with greater priority, reported President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo in her morning conference, and pointed out that the characteristics of this assistance will be made public in due course.

On another topic, when asked about whether he discussed with the President of the United States, Donald Trump, his initiative regarding the “peace meeting” for Gaza, Sheinbaum said that it was not a topic that was part of the conversation. He confirmed that this week, Mexico will give an official position on the matter through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

–Is your position regarding the State of Palestine still maintained?

–Yes, well it is not only the President’s, it is something of the Mexican State.
