The Government resumed the expulsions of foreign citizens. This time, 120 people who committed various crimes were deported.
In this regard, the director of the National Migration Service, Álvaro Bellolio said that this is the seventh flight made this year and that there are 120 “judicial expulsions and some administrative expulsions for clandestine entry.”
Among the crimes committed, Bellolio mentioned “drug trafficking, robbery with violence, a case of frustrated femicide, homicide and other conditions that were unacceptable to us.”
“The vast majority of those expelled correspond to the northern macrozone: from Arica, Antofagasta, Tacapacá and even some from Atacama. Therefore, beyond the technical scale, a significant number of expelled will rise in Iquique,” explained Bellolio, who detailed that the flight itinerary includes a stopover in Iquique to then go to Colombia and Venezuela.
On the other hand, the national head of Migration of the Investigative Police (PDI), Roberto Toloza affirmed that “the judicial expulsion of 120 persons of Venezuelan and Colombian nationality was carried out, who are going to be handed over to the respective authorities of their country. They committed serious crimes, mostly for violation of law 20,000 and crimes such as homicide, illegal migrant smuggling, robbery with intimidation and robbery with violence. “
