The seized merchandise originated in countries such as Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Taiwan, Malaysia and Vietnam.
These products did not have labels in Spanish, they were misleading miracle products, they were expired, they did not have a health record – violating the health regulations – of foreign trade, intellectual and industrial property.
The official stressed that they will continue this type of actions in conjunction with the state governments, especially those on the northern border, where they detect that this type of merchandise enters the most.
He specified that as a result of these operations, seven customs licenses were deregistered, while 40 are being investigated, out of a total of 872 agencies.
