Course is given for Ediles in Rivera
Councilors from the Northern region are participating in the Rivera Departmental Board together with the National Congress of Councilors, the School of Government and the Mayor of that department. They carry out three days of training and updating for ediles of the region. The departmental legislature is the host of the regional course of the school of government of the north zone of the country.
Delegations from the departments of Artigas, Tacuarembó, Cerro Largo and Rivera were present at the three days of instruction that began at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday the 13th in the auditorium of the Rivera Departmental Administration.
The opening ceremony was marked with the presence of national and departmental authorities.
The academic coordination was in charge of Martín Freigedo, a member of the Department of Political Sciences of the University of the Republic and together with him, topics of special interest were addressed for a better development of parliamentary tasks. Dr. Friegedo himself was responsible for start this course with topics such as decentralization in Uruguay, the structure of the Uruguayan government and the decentralization of the central administration.
To all this, this Friday the professor Dr. Marcela Vigna of the Faculty of Law was responsible for dictating the legislative technique from the point of view of political decision.
Dr. Diego Lamas, while from the Faculty of Law, issued general guidelines on administrative contracting, contracting regimes in the TOCAF, main modifications incorporated and analysis of the figure of the political trust in Uruguay, meanwhile, Dr. Antonio Cardarello addressed issues related to the political system at the national level, party system and government regimes at the subnational level.
The course will end at 1:00 p.m. with a diploma delivery ceremony by Mayor Richard Sander and the President of the House of Representatives Sebastián Andújar; The President of the Departmental Board of Rivera Larry Martínez, the President of the National Congress of Ediles (and President of the Board of Cerro Largo) Maximiliano Abraham, among other authorities, is present.
