The Government of Venezuela reviewed the cooperation agenda that it has planned with Latin America with a view to strengthening relations with the countries of the region, during a meeting between the Vice Minister for Latin America, Rander Peña, and the heads of international affairs of the different portfolios of the State, the official reported this Saturday.
“We met with those responsible for international affairs from each ministry and entity of the national Executive, in order to define priorities, review the cooperation agenda in Latin America,” said the vice minister in a message posted on his Twitter account.
He assured that in this meeting the “next actions to strengthen the country’s relations with the region” were also coordinated.
Although he did not offer further details of the appointment or the agreed actions, Peña showed images of the large meeting with the ministerial representatives.
Last April, various politicians and economic experts from Latin America evaluated, during a workshop held in Caracas, strategies that strengthen integration and promote growth in the region, as well as the opportunities and challenges of Venezuela for this year.
The meeting was reported by the state channel VTV, which assured that government authorities and foreign “delegations” analyzed “integration mechanisms” and discussed proposals for the “growth and development of the region,” as well as to “strengthen cooperation and exchange of experiences”.
Before this, the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, assured that no “threat” will stop the “progressive wave that has risen in Latin America and the Caribbean.”
