Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. — The Dominican Government, through the Ministry of the Interior and Policehe reiterated in the Joint Task Force the extensive police presence on the streets, with 27,000 agents deployed within the framework of Operation “Christmas with a Guarantee of Peace 2.0”and called on the population to use the digital platforms of the National Police and other public order institutions.
The Minister of the Interior and Police, Faride Rafuloffered the information after the follow-up meeting to the Citizen Security Planheaded by the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña.
Raful also reiterated a call to citizen collaboration with police work, while detailing recent advances in technology and shared data that shows an increase in interoperability in areas like ballistics and criminology.
Strengthening DICRIM
In the central part of her intervention, the head of the IPM he referred to strengthening DICRIMincluding greater technical capacity, more trained agents and the use of technological toolswhich has optimized the clarification of cases and the evidence analysis.
