Notaries, notaries and other professionals question the excessive delays in the Public Records office, where the documents have been in drawers for a long time. To this is added that the officials of said institution will carry out a strike for four days from next February 28 to demand the resignation of the heads of the institution due to mismanagement and incompetence.
the clerk martha narvaja told 650 AM that the situation in the General Directorate of Public Records continues to be chaotic due to the multiple difficulties that exist to carry out procedures.
“The problems in Public Records are never-ending, this does not give more, we have been dealing with the same drama for a long time, it is not that it is only now that they are on vacation. The officials now can’t take it anymore. All files are completely behind schedule. I claimed these days a domain condition certificate for the month of December, when it should only take 10 days to be ready“, he highlighted.
The interviewee indicated that Public Records is still not computerized, with the same shortcomings that have been dragging on for 25 years. She assured that the problem lies in the head (the authorities).
He further held that with the strike announced by the officials of that institution they will go “to the deck” because 4,000 files are delayed every day, so the forceful measure will worsen the already chaotic situation.
