Hi National Technical Meeting on Combating the Manipulation of Sports Results has resulted in some tools that will help Brazilian authorities to combat this type of practice, as well as in the future consolidation of a public policy to ensure the integrity of sport in Brazil.
Started on Monday (29) and closed this Wednesday (1st), The meeting markedaccording to the Ministry of Sport, the beginning of a “continuous process of formation and cooperation, fundamental for the consolidation of the National Policy to Combat the Manipulation of Sports Results”.
During the meeting, authorities, especially delegates from all over the country, were able to exchange experiences in the search for uniform and cooperative performance to deal with sports manipulations.

Platform and Manual
At the meeting were presented the first version of a digital platform created by the working group to combat sports results, as well as a guideline manual for preventive and repressive performance.
Both the platform and the manual were prepared by the working group formed by the Ministries of Sport, Farm, Justice, and also by the Federal Police.
The first version of the digital civic platform was developed by the Faculty of Science and Technologies in Engineering at the University of Brasilia (UnB). The tool will enable the presentation of anonymous complaints, as well as real -time monitoring of competitions, interactive data analysis panels; and automatic alerts with artificial intelligence to identify suspicious activities.
The manual to combat sports results manipulation establishes guidelines for preventive and repressive performance, consolidating technical and methodological knowledge.
According to the director of investigation and combating organized crime and the corruption of the Federal Police, Denis Cali, the manual is a starting point, “because sometimes there is difficulty even in the typification of sports crime.”
Video lessons
Activities and programming of the three days of the event were recorded on video to be edited in the coming days and made available through video lessons.
“This material will be available on a continuing education platform, with restricted access, allowing police forces to study, revise and consult the content whenever necessary,” the ministry said.
In the evaluation of the National Secretary of Sports Betting and Economic Development of Sport, Giovanni Rocco Neto, the proposal is to ensure that the formed network remains active.
“Our idea is to create this network so that you can communicate and exchange experiences between you and do the work in the best way. At all times we are also making improvements in this process,” said the secretary.
