Government plans to sign four addendas for US $ 2.5 billion in infrastructure projects

The government of President Dina Boluarte announced that during the year 2025 four addendas will be signed, which described as strategic to infrastructure projects in the transport, natural gas and health sectors, with an estimated investment of US $ 2.5 billion. As he said, these adhes are framed in the private capital mobilization strategy through public-private associations (app), with the aim of closing infrastructure gaps and energizing regional economies.

One of the outstanding projects is the addendum of the Matarani port terminal, whose last stage will be signed in the third quarter of 2025. The compromised investment exceeds US $ 700 million and seeks to improve the logistics competitiveness of the south of the country.

Likewise, the intervention was announced in the Olmos Project, through a coordinated work between the Regional Government of Lambayeque, the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, and the Ministry of Economy and Finance. The objective is to ensure the operational continuity of the Olmos transfer, whose concession expires in September of this year, through the institutional strengthening of the Special Olmos Tinajones project.

These ads are added to the advances in the award of investments under the app mode. According to Executive figures, since the beginning of the current government projects have been awarded for more than US $ 19,000 million, in sectors such as energy, transport, telecommunications, health and sanitation. Only in 2024, 30 projects will be awarded for an amount exceeding US $ 8.2 billion.

Among the most recent is the longitudinal project of the Sierra Section 4, awarded for US $ 1,582 million. This initiative includes the construction, improvement and maintenance of 965 kilometers of track for 25 years, directly benefiting more than 1.6 million people in Junín, Huancavelica, Ica, Ayacucho and Apurímac.

In the face of the next few years, the Government projected to award 48 projects for more than US $ 9,100 million in 2026, and leave at least 10 projects by 2027, which would mobilize additional investments for more than US $ 10.2 billion.

On the other hand, he indicated that the mechanism of tax works has also registered sustained growth. Since 2023, investment commitments have been reached for more than S/ 6,270 million, for the benefit of more than nine million citizens, mainly in Áncash, Ica and Arequipa. By 2025, a potential portfolio of 128 investments for more than S/2,600 million is expected.
