The Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP), in partnership with the non-governmental organization SaferNet Brasil, made available a virtual channel on the Internet to receive reports of attacks against schools. O site is available and the information sent will be analyzed by the Ciberlab team of the National Secretariat for Public Security.
According to the folder, hundreds of agents work in an integrated way to monitor threats: 51 heads of investigation stations, 89 heads of intelligence agencies (including State Military and Civil Police) and 25 federal police officers. Reports are anonymous and identification is not required.
In a note, SaferNet highlighted that the process of completing the form is simple, fast and safe. You can report, for example, suspicious websites, blogs, posts on social networks and forums, profiles and other content. The whistleblower’s identification is not required. The denounced links will be automatically crossed with the database of the National Center for Reporting Cyber Crimes, created by SaferNet Brasil and operated in partnership with the Federal Public Ministry (MPF).
Since 2006, SaferNet Brasil has received and processed 767,938 anonymous complaints of advocacy and incitement to crimes against life involving 143,302 different pages (URLs), of which 116,070 were removed for violating the law or the terms of use of digital services and platforms.
Platforms
Next Monday (10), a meeting is scheduled between representatives of the Ministry of Justice and digital platforms, including social networks and messaging services. The objective, according to the government, is to institute an action protocol in conjunction with bodies of the Unified Public Security System (Susp). The meeting will be conducted by MJSP’s special advisor and Digital Rights coordinator, Estela Aranha.
