He Cicpc offers a reward $1,000,000 for anyone who provides information that leads to the location of Carlos Enrique Gómez Rodríguez, alias El Conejo, whose criminal group carried out a simultaneous attack last Sunday against police headquarters located in Las Tejerías, Aragua, according to the announcement of the scientific police.
Gómez Rodríguez and his organization “also carry out criminal activities with drug trafficking and firearms trafficking,” says the Cicpc review, which also links the ringleader “in multiple crimes of terrorism, extortion, kidnapping, homicide, among others.”
The reward is also offered for information related to five other members of the organization led by El Conejo, identified as: Luis Rafael Santana Argueta (Luis Manilla), Fernando José Torres Suárez (Carranga), Franklin José Colmenares Salazar (Pantera), Franklin Daniel Chirinos, Richard Efraín Fuente and Jhonlervis Miguel Álvarez Torrealba.
The Rabbit group had been expelled from Las Tejerías in February of last year when security agencies they executed the operation Gran Cacique Guaicaipuro II in the mountainous areas of the Santos Michelena municipality (La Tejerías) where they had an infrastructure typical of organized crime such as roads, tunnels, camps and sentry boxes, among others.
On that occasion, Carlos Revette (El Koki), a key player in the criminal structure that operated at Cota 905, Caracas, was killed on February 8.
From that day on, El Conejo wandered through hamlets in the Revenga municipality (El Consejo) until he was helped by El Tren de Aragua. Apparently, the subject went to Colombia where he was called by the allied drug trafficking groups, to rethink the strategy that would allow them to design a route for the trafficking of drug caches through the central region of the country, according to investigations. That is why he returned precisely on February 5, the one year anniversary of the Gran Caique Guaicaipuro II operation, and attacked the headquarters of the Bolivarian National Police and El Cicpc.
