Government of the Valley asks to finish the Buga-Buenaventura road

The Governor of Valle del Cauca, Clara Luz Roldán, in the company of the unions, the group of congressmen from the region and different unions made a call to the National Government headed by the President, Iván Duque, to speed up and ensure the resources for the completion of the Buga-Buenaventura roadwork that leads more than 10 years of waiting.

“Mr. President, with the congressmen and unions, we want to thank you for all the commitment you have had with this department because in reality we have felt a President who has given priority to projects. Today we want to ask you that in your commitment to the Buga – Buenaventura road, the resources be immediate, that the fiscal framework be granted in this or next month because we want to inaugurate that work and lay the first stone with you.“said the president.

The president met with congressmen Carlos Abraham Jiménez, Catalina Ortiz, Christian Garcés, Norma Hurtado, as well as union leaders such as María Isabel Ulloa, executive director of the Propacific Foundation, and Edwin Maldonado, of the Valle del Cauca Interunion and Business Committee.

“Doctor Iván Duque, we hope that, as always, you will listen to us, as you have done so far in Valle del Cauca.” added the Governor of the Valley.

Last Monday, January 31, opened five kilometers of dual carriageway in this section of Buga-Buenaventura through the National Institute of Roads (INVÍAS), carries out investments for $170,000 million, in the Calima sector, Warrior Wolf.

The works carried out in this sector of the via Buga- Buenaventua their objective is the rehabilitation, maintenance, signaling and construction of 9 kilometers of second lane (7.5 kilometers in the Calima – Loboguerrero sector and 1.5 kilometers in the passage through Loboguerrero), in addition to the construction of 4 viaducts and 2 bridges with which it generates 3,000 jobs that impact the inhabitants of the region.
